BOA unveils official website of 11th SA Games

Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) ceremonially unveiled Thursday the official website and the pictograms of 23 disciplines of sports of the 11th South Asian Games to be held January 29-February 9 in the capital and four other divisional cities of the country, reports UNB.
Some 2000 athletes and sportsmen from eight South Asian countries --India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan and hosts Bangladesh -- are expected to compete in 23 disciplines of sports with 156 gold medals at stake.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the games on Jan 29 at a colouful ceremony at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
The games website (www.11sagdhaka2010.com.bd ) will provide all necessary facts and figures, perfect data and updated results of the biggest sports carnival of the region to the sports lovers.
Two veteran sports journalists of the country -- Mohammad Quamruzzaman and Abdul Hamid -- inaugurated the website at a launching ceremony at the BOA auditorium Thursday.
