Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation (BSSF) arranged a victory rally in the capital on Tuesday afternoon highlighting its two silver medalist shooters of the just-concluded 21st Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, reports UNB.
Shooter Abdullah Hel Baki brought laurel for Bangladesh clinching the first silver medal in the just concluded games in the men's 10-metre air rifles while Shakil Ahmed won the 2nd silver medal in the men's 50-meter pistol.
The victory rally began from Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation (BSSF) office at Gulshan-1 and terminated at the same place after parading through Hatirjheel and Gulshan-2 areas of the city. BSSF General Secretary Intekhabul Hamid and two silver medalist shooters led the rally in a well-decorated open truck, followed by national shooters, organisers and sports lovers. BOA vice president Sheikh Bashir Al Mamun and BSSF vice president Abdus Salam Khan were also present on the occasion.
Two silver medalists of Bangladesh, shooters Abdullah Hel Baki and Shakil Ahmed, who celebrated the Bengali New Year in the Australian city of Brisbane with Bangladeshi.
