B’desh men beat Nepal, women maintain win

Bangladesh men's team started well in the International Handball Federation (IHF) Trophy Tournament-2014 while women's team tested the 2nd consecutive win beating their respective rivals in the day's matches at Faisalabad in Pakistan Thursday, reports UNB.
In the men's group, Bangladesh beat Nepal by 41-18 goals. Bangladesh dominated the first half by 19-10 goals.
In the women's group, Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 52-5 goals.
Bangladesh women's team dominated the first half by 24-1 goals.
Earlier, in the first match Wednesday, Bangladesh women's team defeated Yemen by 48-13 goals.
Men's group comprises seven Asian national teams including host Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Maldives and Yemen while in the women's group six teams-Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Yemen-are taking part in the five-day meet.
A 36-member contingent, including 28 players and eight officials, left Dhaka for Pakistan on Monday (December 1) to represent Bangladesh in the meet, organised by Pakistan Handball Federation.
