B’desh-SL first Test begins tomorrow

Touring Sri Lanka will start their campaign in Bangladesh taking on Bengal Tigers in the first Test of the two-match Test series beginning tomorrow (Monday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city, reports UNB.
The match will start at 9:30 pm (BST). The Lankan team will play the 2nd Test match in the port city of Chittagong from February 4-8 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Sri Lanka Cricket team, led by Anjelo Mathews arrived in the capital on Friday (Jan 24) to play two tests, two Twenty20 and three ODI matches against the Bengal Tigers.
State-owned Bangladesh Television (BTV) will telecast live all the matches while Bangladesh Betar will broadcast running commentary.  Satellite TV network Maasranga Television will also telecast live all the matches.
Both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh made their practices at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium n Mirpur Saturday.
Prior to the day's practice, the famed Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan said, "Bangladesh is now a matured team, we will now play for win, not for a draw or to play a good cricket".
Addressing the pressmen, former national skipper and one of the best all-rounder of the world Shakib said, "we have positive and good competitions inside the team, --have a good number of performers, --it is a good sign for our cricket".
"Although Sri Lanka is comparatively stronger than us, but we are playing a good cricket now, especially in the home grounds, moreover, we played a good cricket against Sri Lanka in the last Test that gives us a dream to win against Sri Lanka" he further said.
Sri Lankan captain Anjelo Mathews in his first briefing on Saturday said, Bangladesh is very strong opponent at their home ground, they did a lot of development in the recent time and they also now playing good cricket, so we have to perform our best to beat them.
"We played a good cricket against Pakistan, although we drew the three-match test series 1-1, but we are satisfied with our performances, and our confidence in now very high", he added .
The two Twenty20 matches between two teams will be held on February 12 and 14 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
All three ODI matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on February 17, 20 and 22.
