B’desh U-19 team to play 2nd ODI with Sri Lanka today

Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team will play their 2nd match of the five-match Youth ODI series match against Sri Lankan Under-19 side on the Colts Cricket Club ground in Colombo today (Tuesday), reports UNB.
The Young Tigers, led by Mehedi Hasan Miraj, made a frustrating start in the Youth ODI series after conceding a seven-wicket defeat against their Sri Lankan counterparts at the same venue on Sunday.
In the first match, Bangladesh batted first after winning the toss and were all out for 202 runs in 49.5 overs despite a polished 70 runs by vice-captain Nazmul Hossain Shanta and 48 runs by captain Mehedy Hasan Miraj.
In reply, hosts Sri Lanka reached their target scoring 205 runs for 3 in 44.2 overs.
In the remaining Youth ODI matches, Bangladesh will play Sri Lankan Under-19 side on January 22, 24 and 25, with first two matches at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and the last match on the Sinhalese Sports Club ground in Colombo.
Earlier, a 14-member Bangladesh Youth (Under-19) team, which left the capital for the Sri Lanka capital Colombo Friday on a three-week tour to the Islands nation, will also play a two-match three-day series against their Sri Lankan counterpart.
The Young Tigers will play two three-day matches on January 20-30 and February 2-4.
