Chess team to leave for Nepal tomorrow

Bangladesh chess team will leave Dhaka for Nepal tomorrow (Thursday) to take part in the Asian Zonal (Zone-3.2) Chess Championship from March 27 to April 1 in Kathmandu, reports BSS.
The event will be held in two groups- men and women, and 9 round Swiss-League system.
Sixteen players, 10 in men's group and 6 in women's group from Bangladesh will participate in the event.
Besides, players from Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are also expected to take part in the event.
This was disclosed at a press conference Tuesday at the National Sports Council conference in the city.
Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF) president and director general of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed BPM (BAR) and deputy managing director (business) of Premier Bank Limited, BCF vice president Syed Shahab Uddin Shamim and general secretary Gazi Shayiful Tarique, were present on the occasions.
