Chinese Taipei beat Lanka 4-3

Chinese Taipei made a good start in the 4th Men' s Junior AHF Cup Hockey beating Sri Lanka by 4-3 goals in a keenly contested opening match at the Moulana Bhasani National Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.

Vice Chairman of Islami Bank Engineer Mustafa Anwar inaugurated the eight-day meet in the afternoon.

Sri Lanka dominated the first half by 2-1 goals.

Wu Pu struck twice and Lu Yu and Hu Su Ching scored one goal each for Chinese Taipei while Kasun, Tanvir and Shaheed netted one goal each for the losers.
