Chittagong Division made 314 for all in 117.2 overs in the first innings against Dhaka Division on the 2nd day of the four-day sixth round match of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 10th National Cricket League at the Bir Shreshtho Shaheed Ruhul Amin Stadium in Chittagong Tuesday, reports UNB.
Resuming the first innings with 279 for 8, hosts Chittagong Division folded their innings adding only 35 runs in 27.2 overs.
Night-watchman Tareq Aziz Khan (11) scored 24 runs off 61 balls with four fours while tail-ender Mohammad Yunus made useful 25 runs off 64 balls with four fours.
Arafat Sunny, who grabbed one wicket on the first day, took the day's remaining two wickets to finish 27.2-5-63-3.
Opening their first innings, Dhaka Division made a good reply scoring 157 runs for 3 wickets in 70 overs at stumps on the second day.
After the dismissal of two top order batsmen- skipper Javed Omar (13) and Shamsur Rahman (13)- for 51 runs in 22.1 overs, opener Anwar Hossain pairing with two down Marshall Ayub carried the Dhaka total to a respectable position contributing 101 runs in the 3rd wicket stand.
Wicket-keeper Anwar Hossain scored team highest 65 runs off 198 balls with 11 boundaries while number four Marshall Ayub remained unbeaten on 58 runs playing 138 balls that featured seven fours.
Pacer Tareq Aziz claimed two wickets for 33 runs while Mohammad Yunus took the other wicket giving away 33 runs.
