Ctg Div take command against Barisal

Hosts Chittagong Division took command as they dismissed Barisal Division on day one of the 9th round four-day match of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 10th National Cricket League that resumed Sunday at the Bir Shreshtho Shaheed Ruhul Amin Stadium in Chittagong, reports UNB.
Batting first after winning the toss, Barisal Division were all out for 244 in 63.5 overs in the face of disciplined bowling by the hosts.
Barisal Division felt early batting jolt when their first three batsmen -- Hannan Sarker (4), Nasir Uddin (0) and Mohammad Shaheen Hossain (0) -- returned to the pavilion leaving team total at 4 for 3.
Middle order batsman Nasir Hossain contributed useful 49 runs off 58 balls with six fours and a six, while Rakibul Hasan made 43 off 77 balls with six fours.
Arafat Salahuddin scored 41 runs off 104 balls with four fours and a six, while tail ender batsman Talha Jubair hammered 47 runs off 45 balls with seven fours and a six.
Yasin Arafat claimed three wickets for 44 runs while Kamrul Islam and Mohammad Younus took two wickets each for 23 and 75 runs respectively.
In reply, Chittahong Division in their first innings scored 52 runs in 20 overs for the loss of one wicket at stumps on the first day. The hosts lost the only wicket of opener Masum Ud Doula who scored 24 runs.
Nafis Iqbal and Rezaul Karim were batting on 20 and 5 runs as the bails were drawn for the day.
Arafat Salahuddin took one wicket for eight runs.
At the Bir Shreshtho Matiur Rahman Stadium in Khulna, hosts Khulna Division opted to bat first and scored 355 runs for all in 76.2 overs with three half centuries against Dhaka Division on the first day.
Opener Imrul Kayes (58), one down Tushar Imran (54), national colour Sakib Al Hasan (59), Sahagir Hossain (48) and Ziaur Rahman (not out 49) were the major contributors for Khulna.
Marshal Ayub and Mahbubul Alam Robin grabbed four wickets each for 36 and 82 runs respectively while Arafat Sunny and Mohammad Azam took one wicket each, both conceding 61 runs.
In reply, Dhaka Division, in their first innings, lost two quick wickets with team total at 38 runs in eight overs at stumps on the day.
Opener Anamul Haq and national skipper Mohammad Ashraful remained unbeaten on 13 and 20 as the bails were drawn for the day. Ziaur Rahman took two wickets for 17 runs.
At the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, hosts Rajshahi, sent into bat first, scored 56 runs for five wickets in 30.3 overs in their first innings against Sylhet Division.
Sylhet Division bowlers, taking advantage of a damp pitch, made early inroads sending back the first five Rajshahi batsmen.
Middle order batsman Suhrawardi Shuvo scored 27 runs and opener Junaid Siddiqui made 10.
Naeem Islam (1) and Anisur Rahman (0) remained unbeaten when the match had to be stopped due to bad light.
Sumon Saha grabbed two wickets for 18 runs while Nabil Samad, Nazmul Hossain and Shubashish Roy took one wicket each for 2, 16, and 17 runs respectively.
