Dainik Inqilab emerge champions

Dainik Inqilab emerged as the new champions in the Walton-Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) six-a-side Media Football Tournament, dethroning Channel i by 3-1 goals in the tiebreaker at the Shaheed (Capt) M Monsur Ali National Handball Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday, reports UNB.

The keenly contested final match between defending champions Channel i and the emerging force Dainik Inqilab ended in a goalless draw in the stipulated 20 minutes, and that forced the match into a tiebreaking session.

Earlier in the day's semifinals, Dainik Inqilab fought hard to qualify for the dream final, eliminating Deepto TV by a 1-0 goal, while the stronger Channel i easily booked a seat for the final, defeating ATN News by 2-0 goals.
