Dhaka bag consecutive win beating Barisal by 3 wkts

Holders Dhaka Division registered their 2nd consecutive victory in the 3rd round one-day match of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 9th National Cricket League beating Barisal Division by three wickets at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
With the day's results, Dhaka Division secured 4 points from three matches while Barisal Division is yet to open their account despite playing the same number of matches.
Coin-favoured, Barisal Division batted first but they could not make the most out of their allotted 50 overs as they were restricted at only 151 for the loss of nine wickets.
Number three Imran Ahmed appeared to be the highest scorer with 38 off 79 balls that featured two fours, while number six Abul Bashar made 2nd highest 21.
In chasing the target of 152, Dhaka Division had to lose seven wickets in 47 overs.
Openers Javed Omar and Al Shahriar Rokon gave a decent start putting up 63 runs in the opening stand in 20.3 overs before Rokon departed for 28.
Then Barisal Division tried to come back in the match picking up another two quick wickets of Rubel 4, Nadif Chowdhury 6 when the scoreboard showing 3/78 in 27.2 overs.
But Javed's top score of 46 off 109 balls featuring three fours and a six along with a 45-ball-31 run innings from Mehrab hitting six boundaries brought Dhaka Division another one-day victory. Mehrab was later adjudged man of the match.
Tariqul Islam claimed three wickets for 25 runs in nine overs, while Abul Bashar took two for 30.
