Four teams -- Dhaka DSA, Dinajpur DSA, Rajshahi DSA and hosts Panchagarh DSA -- advanced to the semis of the 1st Invitational Women Handball Competition, beating their respective opponents at the Tetulia Upazila Sports Association ground in Panchagarh Friday, reports UNB.
Dhaka DSA faces Dinajpur DSA in the first semifinal Saturday at 3:00 pm, while Panchagarh DSA takes on Rajshahi DSA in the 2nd semifinal at 4:00 pm.
In the day's matches, Dinajpur outclassed Lalmonirhat by 19-2 goals, Rajshahi crushed Joypurhat by 18-5 goals, Panchagarh blanked Dinajpur by 15-2 goals, while Dhaka outplayed Joypurhat by 13-3 goals.
In another match, hosts Tetulia Upazila beat Lalmonirhat by 19-3 goals.
