Dhaka Division maintained their top slot after the second round of four-day match Walton 16th National Cricket League beating Dhaka Metro by an innings and 24 runs on the fourth and last day at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah Wednesday, reports UNB.
Dhaka Division earned 25 points to retain the top slot with Khulna Division following with 24 points in the eight-team battle. Dhaka Metro was placed third bagging 23 points while Rangpur Division is in the fourth position with 22 points.
In the other matches concluded on the fourth day, riding on an unbeaten century of 127 runs by Imrul Kayes, Khulna Division beat Barisal Division by six wickets at the BKSP Ground-2 in Savar; Rajshahi Division notched a nine-wicket victory over Chittagong Division at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur while Rangpur Division and Sylhet Division played to a draw at the BKSP Ground-3 in Savar.
Dhaka Metro (90 runs in 1st innings) resumed the second innings with overnight 373 runs for 8 in 101 overs and were dismissed for 411 runs in 121 overs.
Overnight batsman Abu Haydar scored 68 runs off 101 balls with six fours and four sixes while another overnight batter Jabid Hossain scored not out 58 runs off 122 balls with eight fours and a six.
Zubair Hossain grabbed four wickets for 143 runs in the second innings while Shuvagata Hom took three wickets for 97 runs and Mosharraf Hossain took two for 72 runs.

On the other hand, Barisal Division (271 runs in the first innings) resumed the second innings with overnight 343 for 4 in 96 overs and were all out for 402 runs in 120 overs.
Number seven Nuruzzaman scored not out 26 runs while Sohag Gazi (11) and Abu Sayem (10) were the other double digit scorers for the side.
Robiul Islam Robi, Murad Khan and Abdur Razzak claimed three wickets each in the second innings for 52, 64 and 154 runs respectively.
Chasing 284 runs, Khulna Division (390 runs in the first innings) opened the second innings on the fourth day and reached the target scoring 287 runs for 4 in 63 overs, spurred by unbeaten 5th wicket stand of 122 runs in 10.2 overs between the day's centurion Imrul Kayes and Ziaur Rahman.
Imrul Kayes made his unbeaten century scoring 127 runs off 183 balls with nine fours and four sixes while number five Ziaur Rahman hit not out 65 runs off 26 balls with two fours and seven sixes.
Mohammad Mithun scored 46 runs off 64 balls with five fours and two sixes while Tushar Imran (20) was the other double digit scorer for the side.
Sohag Gazi grabbed three wickets for 109 runs and Nasum Ahmed took one wicket for 41 runs.

Meanwhile, Chittagong Division (209 in the first innings) resumed the second innings with overnight 195 for 5 in 72 overs and lost all wickets for 298 runs in 107.3 overs.
Overnight batter Nayeem Islam Jr scored 49 runs off 213 balls while Nur Hossain (32) and Alauddin Babu (21) were the other double digit scorers for the side on the fourth day.
Muktar Ali captured five wickets for 58 runs while Shafiul Islam grabbed four wickets for 56 runs in the second innings.
Set 97 runs to win, Rajshahi Division (411 runs in 1st innings) opened the second innings and sealed the win scoring 100 runs for one wicket in 25.4 overs.
Opener Myshukur Rahman scored not out 61 runs off 81 balls with 11 fours while Zunaid Siddique added not out 33 runs. Alauddin Babu took the only wicket for 21 runs.

On the other hand, Rangpur Division (367 runs in 1st innings) resumed the second innings with overnight 300 for 8 in 53.4 overs on the fourth day and declared the innings adding just one run off one ball at 301 for 8 in 54 overs.
Rahatul Ferdous grabbed three wickets for 77 runs while Nazmul Hossain took two wickets for 30 runs in the second innings.
