Dhaka Dynamites beat Cyclones of Ctg

Pacer Rubel Hossain's five-wicket haul goes in vain as Dhaka Dynamites beat Cyclones of Chittagong by 17 runs to maintain all-win run in the Destiny Group Nation Cricket League T20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in the city Friday, reports UNB.
Sent in to bat first, Dhaka Dynamites scored a competitive 156 for all in stipulated 20 overs with middle order Jeevan Mendis smashing 32 runs off 23 balls that featured three fours and a six.
Opener Shamsur Rahman (25), number five batsman Mahmudullah Riad (22), Mohammad Ashraful (20) and Mehrab Hossain Jr (15) were the other notable scorers for Dhaka Dynamites, which became the first team to confirm the semifinal winning all their previous three matches.
Besides pacer Rubel Hossain's five wickets for 32 runs, Kazi Kamrul and Saklain Sajib took two wickets each for 28 and 38 runs respectively.
In reply, Cyclones of Chittagong were restricted at 138 for 8 in 20 overs.
Middle order Faisal Hossain hammered 43 runs off 37 balls with three fours and a six while national opener Tamim Iqbal scored 23 runs off 24 balls with a six.
Number eight batsman Marshal Ayub (20) and opener Aftab Ahmed (14) were the other notable scorers for Cyclones of Chittagong.
Part time spinner Mohammad Ashraful claimed three wickets.
Dhaka Dynamites will play their last match against Rajshahi Rangers today (Saturday) at the same venue.
Meanwhile, the final match of the NCL T20 will be held on April 21 instead of April 20. The venue and time will remain unchanged.
