Dhaka Eleven Football team leave for London today

A 26-member Dhaka Eleven Football team are scheduled to leave the city for London today (Friday), reports UNB.

They will play three exhibition matches in the United Kingdom

National booter Nasiruddin Chowdhury will captain the Dhaka Eleven. National coloured defender Rayhan Hasan is his deputy. Dhaka Eleven team comprise of 14 booters and 12 officials.

The team will start their campaign in London taking on Punjab Football Association team on Sunday (May 27) at Habar Park in Slough Town They will play their 2nd match against Sporting Bengal Football Club on Wednesday (May 30) at Avili Football Club ground and play their last match against Bengal Dragon FC on June 2 in Cardiff in Wales.

The team will also participate in a workshop named 'Fans of Diversity' to be arranged by Bangladeshi player of West Ham United Anwaruddin on Monday and visit famous Wembley Stadium on Tuesday. It will be the 4th visit of Dhaka Eleven to England since 2007.

Members of Dhaka Eleven: Players: Didarul Islam, Emon Mahmud, Mamunul Islam, Omar Faruk Babu, Yeamin Ahmed Chowdhury Munna, Atiqur Rahman Fahad, Shakawat Hossain Rony, Waly Faisal, Shahedul Alam Shahed, Saaduddin, Nasir Uddin Chowdhury (captain), Wahed Ahmed, Rayhan Hasan (vice captain) and Ashraful Islam.

Offcials: Firoz Alam (Team Leader), Dr SM Jahangir Alam (Manager), Russel Ahmed (Assistant Manager), Alamgir Hasan (Coach), Al Muzahid Hossain (Chief Co-rdinator), Nurul Amin Chowdhury (Co-ordinator), Abu Hasan Chowdhury Prince, General Secretary, Dhaka Eleven), Eklasuddin Chowdhury, Shafiqul Islam, Zihadur Rahman, Abdullah Al Momin (official) and Hossain Mohammad Saifuzzaman (Physio).
