Dhaka MSC draw with Farashganj

Dhaka Mohammedan SC again dropped point in the GrameenPhone Bangladesh League after making a 1-1 draw with Farashganj SC at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Saturday, reports UNB.
Dhaka Mohammedan SC, which split points with Chittagong Mohammedan SC in a 2-2 draw in the previous match, Saturday led the first half by a Sunday Chizobe goal scored in the 35th minute (1-0).
But, the Independence Cup Champions Farashganj SC restored the parity in the 78th minute with a goal from Congolese booter Siyo Zunapio (1-1).
With the day's draw, Dhaka Mohammedan SC remained at the 5th place in the league table securing 18 points from 14 matches while Farashganj SC languishes in the 11th position with 10 points from 13 matches.
In the day's other match, Sheikh Russell KC notched a 2-1 goals victory over Chittagong Mohammedan SC at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur in the city.
Mohammad Yousuf put Sheikh Russell KC ahead in the 29th minute while Liberian player Jerry Odesco levelled the margin for Chittagong Mohammedan in the 32nd minute (1-1).
Russian player Eduard Sakhnedich scored the match-winning goal for Sheikh Russell KC in the 80th minute (2-1).
With the day's result, Sheikh Russell KC remained at the 4th place in the league table securing 25 points from 13 matches while Chittagong Mohammedan SC remained at the 9th place with 11 from 14 outings.
Muktijoddha Sangsad KC dominates the league table with 32 points from 13 matches while holders Dhaka Abahani Limited follow the leaders with 29 points from 13 matches.
After a day's recess on Sunday, the 14th round matches will begin tomorrow (Monday) with Brothers Union Club taking on Soccer Club, Feni at 4:30 pm at Kamalapur Stadium while league leaders Muktijoddha Sangsad KC playing Arambagh KS at 4:30 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
