Dhaka takes command over Khulna with overall 254-rund lead

Holders Dhaka Division took command in the 2nd round four-day match of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 9th National Cricket League against Sylhet Division with overall 254-run lead on the 2nd day at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra Saturday, reports UNB.
Replying to Dhaka Division's first innings total of 351 for 9 in 128.2 overs (dec.), Sylhet Division were forced to follow on as they were bundled out for 96 runs in the first innings.
Resuming batting after the follow on, Sylhet scored 1 for no loss in 0.2 overs in the 2nd innings when the play was called off for the 2nd day due to bad light. Openers Golam Rahman and Imtiaz Hossain remained unbeaten on 1 and 0 run respectively.
In the first innings of Sylhet Division, national wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim contributed innings highest 36 runs off 97 balls with one four while number nine Nazmul Hossain made 25.
Mahbubul Alam claimed four wickets for 14 runs in 11 overs while veteran Mohammad Rafique grabbed three wickets for 36 runs in 19 overs.
Earlier, in the morning, Dhaka Division resumed their 1st innings with overnight 237 for 4 in 91 overs as Mehrab Hossain Jr. and Marshal Ayub took to the field.
Mehrab scored 60 runs off 171 balls with four fours while Marshal made 23. Number nine Rafique scored brisk 39 runs while Mosharraf Hossain remained unbeaten on 35.
At the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, visiting Barisal Division were on the verge of follow on as they scored 77 for 9 in 47 overs in the first innings, replying to Rajshahi Division's first innings total of 301 for all in 130.1 overs. The hosts were leading by 224 runs in the first innings at stumps on the 2nd day.
Skipper Shahriar Nafees opened the innings to score team highest 19 runs off 64 balls with two fours. Number five Iftikhar Nayeem was the other batsman to reach the double figure scoring 13 runs.
Nayeem Islam and medium pacer Farhad Reza claimed three wickets each for 7 and 12 runs respectively while spinner Suhrawardy Shuvo took two for 24 runs.
Resuming the day with 1st innings score of 187 for 5 in 90 overs, overnight Rajshahi Division batsman Khaled Mashud Pilot missed a century as he topscored with 89 runs off 263 balls with 11 boundaries while another overnight batsman Anisur Rahman made 32.
Pacer Talha Jubair was the pick of the Barisal Division bowlers grabbing three wickets for 70 runs in 29 overs while Arafat Salahuddin and Sajedul Islam took two wickets each.
At the Bir Shreshtho Shahid Ruhul Amin Stadium, hosts Chittagong Division scored 231 for 7 in 71 overs in their first innings after bowling out Khulna Division for 410 in 103.2 overs.
Number eight Mohammad Salim, batting at number 10 on Friday, contributed 39 runs off 86 balls with four fours.
Ashiqur Rahman, Saju Datta and Tareq took three wickets each for Chittagong Division.
