East End Club emerge champions in first division volleyball league

East End Club emerged champions in the National Bank Metropolis First Division Volleyball League beating Shabolombi Club by 25-13, 23-25, 25-19, 25-19 points at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium today (Tuesday), reports UNB.
With the day's feat, East End Club earned the rights to play in the Metropolis Premier Division Volleyball League from the next season.
Azad Sporting Club finished runners-up in the league defeating Dhaka Sabuj by straight 3-0 sets at the same venue this afternoon.
The prize distribution ceremony of both the first and second division volleyball leagues will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at 4:00 pm at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium.
Managing Director of the league sponsor National Bank Limited M Aminuzzaman will be the chief guest at the function and distribute the trophies. President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation and Member of Privatization Commission Miah Mushtaque Ahmed will preside.
