Middle order batter Yasir Ali Rabbi hit a century as East Zone beat Central Zone by seven wickets in their second match of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Thjursday, reports BSS.
East Zone's victory came despite conceding a first innings lead in bowlers' dominated match. Electing to bat first, Central Zone compiled 280 with wicket-keeper batter Mahidul Islam Ankan leading the way with 91. Opener Shadman Islam made 43.
Syed Khaled and Naeem Ahmed took four wickets apiece for East Zone, playing a key role in restricting Central Zone to below 300.
