East Zone still trail by 256 runs after 2nd day in BCL

Islami Bank East Zone scored 159 for 3 in 50 overs at stumps against Prime Bank South Zone, but they are still trailing by 256 runs after the second day's play in the final round of four-day 3rd Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) on Monday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, reports BSS.

Shadman with 86 and Kapali with 18 were at the crease as the stumps were drawn for the day.

Earlier, Prime Bank South Zone resumed their first innings on the second day (Monday) with overnight score of 272 for 2 and were finally dismissed at 385 in 109.2 overs.

Brief score:

South Zone 1st innings - 385 for all in 109.2 overs, K Nafees 96, Mithun 95, Kayes 56, Anamul 39, Hasan 3/31, Apu 3/78 and Sadiqur 2/83.

East Zone 1st innings - 159 for 3 in 50 overs, Shadman 86 (batting), Kapali 18 (batting), Gazi 2/39.
