Enough time to recover for proposed Afghanistan series: Tamim

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal said on Tuesday he is confident of recovering well in time before the proposed ODI series against Afghanistan in June, reports Cricbuzz.
Tamim is currently going through a rehabilitation process in relation to his knee problem that forced him to skip the Pakistan Super League final. He is expected to be out of action for six weeks.
Tamim was sidelined from the second eliminator against Karachi Kings after problems with his knee resurfaced. As a result of the knee issue, he travelled to Bangkok and took the opinion of a specialist. Incidentally, it turns out to be the same knee which was operated a few years back.
''It's been four days since my rehabilitation programme started. If I can complete the rehabilitation thoroughly, then there is chance of healing it completely," Tamim told reporters at the media lounge at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Bangladesh are expected to play a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan in Dehradun in India in June. As per reports, BCB agreed in principle to play Afghanistan in India, although the schedule for the series is still being discussed.
