Faridpur beat Barisal by 113 runs

Faridpur District Sports Association notched an emphatic 113-run victory over Barisal Division District Sports Association in the 34th National Cricket Championship at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday, reports UNB.
Batting first after winning the toss, Faridpur DSA piled up a comfortable 278 runs for 7 wickets in stipulated 50 overs with middle order Imam Hossain scoring 85 runs off 81 balls that featured five fours and four sixes to be adjudge the man of the match.
Besides, Sharif Hossain (66) and Mohammad Asif (52) were the other notable scorers for Faridpur DSA.
Mohammad Mahin and Sajib took two wickets each for 25 and 31 runs respectively.
In reply, Barisal DSA were all out for 165 in 47 overs with middle order Maidul making 44 and tail-ender Monir Hossain 23 runs.
Riazul Huda and Monjur Ahmed grabbed three wickets each for 27 and 36 runs respectively while Uttam Sarker took two wickets for 17 runs.
At the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra, Satkhira DSA defeated Mymensingh DSA by six wickets under D/L method in a rain interrupted match.
Sent into bat first, Mymensingh DSA scored 93 for 5 in 20.2 overs before the curtailed 25 over-a-side-match was stopped due to rain with Arifur Rahman making not out 40 runs off 31 balls hitting two fours and two sixes.
Ashraful Islam and Mezbah-Al Islam claimed two wickets each for 11 and 13 runs respectively.
Chasing a revised target of 105 runs in 20 overs, Satkhira DSA hit the winning 105 for 4 in 19.5 overs.
Anamul Haque jr (31), Jahangir Alam (23), Faruk Ahmed (23) and Waliul Karim (21) were the major contributors for Satkhira DSA.
