The fourth edition of the Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib International Martial Art competition will begin at three venues in the capital tomorrow (Sunday), reports UNB.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will inaugurate the 20-nation meet, organised by the Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation, as the chief guest Sunday at the National Sports Council Gymnasium.
In the sideline, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu is expected to inaugurate the Youga Exhibition at the same venue Monday noon while Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu will preside over the function.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon will inaugurate the Karate Competition the same day (Monday) as the chief guest at 3:00 pm at the same venue.
Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony Tuesday.
The participants will compete in 16 events of the three-day meet funded by Mariam Foundation.
The two other venues of the meet are Mohammad Ali Boxing Stadium at Paltan and Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation general secretary Hasan Uz Zaman Moni disclosed the details at a press conference at the NSC Tower Friday.
