Federation Cup Karate begins today


The Federation Cup Karate Tournament, organised by Bangladesh Karate Federation, begins today (Friday) at the National Sports Council gymnasium in the city, reports UNB.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works Rashedul Islam will inaugurate the two-day meet in the morning.
The team event champions of Kumi (fighting) will get prize money of Tk 15,000, runners up Tk 10,000 while the 3rd placed team Tk 5,000.
Some 1,000 players from different districts, divisions, services team, banks and educational institutions will compete in 70 events of the meet.
