Five teams emerge venue champions

Five teams - Rajshahi, Comilla, Barisal, Narayanganj and Rajbari - emerged venue champions to reach the 2nd round of the 31st Inter-District Cricket Championship at different venues across the country Thursday, reports UNB. Results of day's matches: Rajshahi Division - Rajshahi DSA crushed Pabna DSA by 187 runs in Gaibandha; Chittgaong Division - Comilla DSA beat Cox's Bazar DSA by 76 runs in Chittagong; Barisal Division - Barisal DSA defeated Pirojpur DSA by 134 runs in Barguna; and Dhaka Division - Narayanganj DSA beat Narsingdi DSA by 53 runs in Mymensingh. In two other matches of Dhaka Division, Rajbari DSA won against Manikganj in Faridpur venue while Faridpur won against Mymensingh in Savar. The fate of both the matches was decided by toss because of unplayable condition of the grounds today (Thursday).
