Four players share lead in Tangail Chess

Four players are sharing lead in the points table with 5 points after the 6th round games of the Tangail International Rating Chess tournament now being held at the Bangabandhu Auditorium in Tangail Press Club, Tangail, reports BSS.
They are FM Mehdi Hasan Parag of Leonine Chess Club, FM Debaraj Chatterjee of Titas Club, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and Ikramul Haq Siam of Golden Sporting Club.
Nine players are sharing the 2nd slot with 4.5 points each. They are IM Abu Sufian Shakil of Dhaka Mohammedan, FM Kh Aminul Islam, FM Mohammad Javed, Sharif Hossain and CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy, Golam Mostafa
Bhuiyan of Titas Club, Abdullah Al Saif Golden Sporting Club, M Sawkat Bin Osman and Abhishek Sarkar of India.
In the day's 6th round games held Monday, Parag beat Shakil, Debaraj beat S M Sharon, Emon beat Rabiul Bhuiyan, Siam beat national junior champion Avik Sarker, Saif beat Shrutarshi Roy of India, and Mostafa beat M Matiur Rahman Mamun.
