After a prolonged Covid-19 hiatus, galleries for the cricket series in Bangladesh will be open for all from the Test series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka starting May 15 in Chattogram, reports UNB.

While announcing the title sponsor for the series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that 100 per cent of the capacity of Zahur Ahmed Stadium, the venue for the first Test, will be open for the spectators.

"The Covid-19 situation is largely under control in Bangladesh. So the galleries in this series will be open for all," Tanvir Ahmed, the chairman of the media department of BCB, told the reporters on Thursday. The spectators will have to maintain specific protocols set up by the WHO, Tanvir added.

The tickets for the western stand in Chattogram will cost BDT 50, while the tickets for the eastern, clubhouse, international stand, roof-top and grandstand will cost BDT 100, 200, 300 and 500 respectively. In the second Test the tickets will cost BDT 50 for eastern, southern, and northern galleries, while tickets for the clubhouse, VIP stand and grandstand will cost BDT 100, 200 and 500.
