Chris Gayle is set to play his 100th Test at his home ground in Jamaica when New Zealand tour the Caribbean in June, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) announced on Monday (March 24), reports Wisden India.

New Zealand's tour comprises three Tests and two Twenty20 Internationals, with the first Test starting on June 8. The tour has been shortened from the original three Tests, five One-Day Internationals and two T20Is, according to a WICB release.

Gayle, who made his Test debut in 2000, has scored 6933 runs in the 99 Tests he has played so far, averaging 42.01, with 15 centuries and 34 half-centuries. He would have played his landmark Test in New Zealand in December last year, had he not torn a hamstring during the ODI series in India in November.

New Zealand are scheduled to play two warm-up games in Jamaica before the first Test at Sabina Park. They head to Trinidad for the second Test from June 16, while Guyana will host the third Test from June 26. The tour culminates with Dominica hosting both T20Is.

Bangladesh will be the next visitors, playing three ODIs, a one-off T20I and two Tests in August and September. Grenada and St Kitts will host the ODIs and the T20I, while the Tests will be in St Vincent and St Lucia.
