ERASMIA, South Africa, June 19 (AFP): Coach Joachim Loew insisted Saturday Germany's shock defeat to Serbia at the World Cup has not sent them into 'headless-chicken mode' and he is still confident of reaching the last 16.
Having hammered Australia 4-0 in their opening match, Germany were brought crashing down to earth on Friday when Milan Jovanovic's first-half goal gave the Serbians a 1-0 win to throw Group D wide open.
Just a minute before Serbia scored, striker Miroslav Klose was sent off for a second yellow card and Lukas Podolski later had a second-half penalty saved in Germany's first group-stage defeat at a World Cup since 1986.
