GM Niaz secures 4.5 after 6th round

Grandmaster Niaz Murshed of Biman earned 4.5 points after the 6th round matches of the Commonwealth Chess Championship in New Delhi, India Thursday, reports UNB.
GM Enamul Hossain Razib, FM Abu Sufian Shakil, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, FM Mohammad Javed and Debaraj Chatterjee earned four points each, followed by FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar 3.5 points, IWM Rani Hamid and Abdullah Al Saif three points each and Mokaddes Hossain 1.5 points.
In the 6th round matches, Niaz beat Abhishek Kelkar, Razib drew with FM Sai Krishna, Shakil lost against GM Tejas Bakre, Sagar lost against GM Lafuente Pablo, Parag beat Suraj, Debaraj beat Vikramaditya Sahu, Javed beat Rani Hamid, Saif drew with Arunima Kalra and Mokaddes lost to Bhawoodien.
