Golden CC, Sonali Bank, RC share lead in 1st Div Chess

Golden Chess Club, Sonali Bank Sports and Recreation Club (RC) shared the lead in the Walton Home Appliance 1st Division Chess League, both securing six points after the third round matches at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.

In the third round, Golden Chess Club beat Destiny 2000 Limited by 4-0 points.

Khorshed Alam, Ikramul Haque Siam, Feroz Ahmed and Abdullah Al-Saif of Golden Chess beat Shawkat, Shah Mahfuzul Karim, Niloy Debnath and Mohammad Alamgir respectively.

Sonali Bank S&RC defeated Farashganj Sporting Club by 2.5-1.5 points.  Saiful Islam Chowdhury of Sonali Bank beat Faisal Hossain of Farashganj while Pratul Chandra Bose, Abu Hanif and Dewan Shahidul Amin of Sonali Bank drew against Mohammed Tajul Islam, Sheikh Raju Ahmed and Salamat Ullah of Farashganj SC.
