Siddikur Rahman Bangladeshi celebrated golfer Siddikur Rahman was accorded a reception at the Kurmitola Golf Club in the city Friday for his feat in the last month's Eurasia Cup Golf Tournament held in Malaysia, reports UNB.
The brilliant performance of Siddikur Rahman helped Asian team to make a draw with stronger European team in the prestigious meet held from March 27 to March 29.
Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association and former Ambassador Syed Shaheed Reza was the chief guest at the reception jointly organised by Bangladesh Golf Federation, Grameenphone Ltd and Kurmitola Golf Club.
Senior Vice-president of Bangladesh Golf Federation Major General Mizanur Rahman Khan, Area Commander, Logistic Area Dhaka, Marcus Adaktusson, Head of Communications, Grameenphone Ltd and many sports personalities were present at the reception.
Grameenphone is the sponsor of Siddikur Rahman, the first professional golfer of Bangladesh.
