Goswami reclaims No. 1 spot in ODI rankings

India fast bowler Jhulan Goswami reclaimed the number one ranking in ODI cricket, leapfrogging Australia's Megan Schutt and Pakistan's Sana Mir to the top slot, reports Cricbuzz.
Goswami had last been atop the rankings in February 2017. She took eight wickets in the recently-concluded ODI series against India, which the hosts won 2-1 and reached second spot in the eight-team championship, which helped her reach the summit. Goswami now has 218 wickets in ODIs, the highest in ODIs.
Shikha Pandey, Goswami's pace twin in the Indian team, also made big moves, jumping 12 places to finish in the fifth position, making it two Indian pacers in the top 5. Australia Jess Jonassen also jumped two places to be placed next to Goswami in the rankings.
India now lead the rankings in both the batting and bowling departments, with Smriti Mandhana leading the table with career-best ranking points of 797.
