CHATTOGRAM, Apr 13: GPH Ispat Turf Cricket Championship Tournament has been inaugurated in the Oxygen area of the city on Saturday.
Additional Managing Director of GPH Ispat Limited Mohammed Almas Shimul inaugurated the tournament.
Chief Operating Officer T. Mohan Babu, Director (Strategy and Transformation) Salehin Mushfiq Sadaf, GPH Future Leaders Saiham Sadik Pial and Sobha Soha, were, also present on the occasion.
The tournament features 16 inter-departmental teams from Chattogram region, besides 12 teams of officials and employees from Dhaka Office, with matches commencing in Pallabi, Mirpur. The semi-finals and final, and championship trophy ceremony for the Chattogram region will be held on April 17.
GPH Ispat Limited, a public limited steel manufacturing company, sponsored the cricket championships to help players grow and reach the national level.
