H’ball team to fly for ROK tomorrow

An 18-member Bangladesh National Handball team will fly for South Korea tomorrow (Tuesday) night to participate in the Asian Men's Championship scheduled to be held on January 18-28 in the Korean city of Suwon in a bid to gather experiences from the heavyweight meet in their first-ever appearance, reports UNB.
Fourteen teams, split into four groups, will compete in the 11-day meet, a qualifying meet for the Men's World Cup Handball to be held either in Denmark or Germany next year.
Top four teams of the ensuing 18th Asian Handball meet will qualify for the World Cup Handball- 2019.
Bangladesh, which were placed in strong Group C of the Asian Handball Championship with Olympics champions South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and India will play South Korea in one of the six opening day's matches on January 18.
