Henin makes a brilliant come back

TORONTO, Aug 16(AFP): World number one Justine Henin of Belgium made a triumphant return in her first match since a shocking semi-final loss at Wimbledon, beating Slovenian qualifier Andreja Klepac 6-3, 6-1 here Wednesday.
France's Marion Bartoli ousted Henin in the Wimbledon semi-finals more than a month ago.
Chinese qualifier Yan Zi ousted Serbian fourth seed Ana Ivanovic 6-3, 6-1 in another second-round match to book a date with Greece's Eleni Daniilidou, who defeated Italy's Maria Elena Camerin 7-6 (7/5), 4-6, 7-5.
Russian fifth seed Anna Chakvetadze retired from her match due to illness. France's Virginie Razzano advanced 7-6 (7/5), 2-0 as a result, ousting a rising star who had won back- to-back titles at Cincinnati and Stanford and reached the semi-finals at San Diego.
Italy's Francesca Schiavone rallied to despatch Russian eighth seed Elena Dementieva 6-7 (5/7), 6-3, 6-2.
Russian sixth seed Nadia Petrova reached the third round by rallying past Canada's Stephanie Dubois 6-7 (4/7), 6-2, 6-1.
