Huawei platinum sponsor of Comilla Victorians in BPL

World leading tech company "Huawei" has been named as the platinum sponsor of Comilla Victorians, one of the seven participating teams of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), reports UNB.

With this, Huawei has become the team's platinum sponsor for the third time.

As per fresh deal, the jerseys of the former champions Comilla Victorians will be emblazoned with the Huawei logo and they already wear new jersey in their first match against Sylhet Sixers on Sunday.

The world's number one cricket all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is the brand ambassador of Huawei in Bangladesh.

Last year, Huawei stood beside Bangladesh Volleyball Federation in Bangabandhu International Volleyball Championship.

In addition to the international arena, Huawei came up with sponsorship on the local level such as the inter-departmental cricket tournament of Jahangirnagar University.

Speaking on this sponsorship, Kelvin Yang, Country Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group (Bangladesh) said, "Cricket is the most popular game in Bangladesh.

BPL is a wonderful platform for cricket. Huawei is proud to stay beside this sparkling hub of cricketers from home and abroad.

We are also keen to stay beside sports in the days to come."

Comilla Victorians, the champion of the third season, also feature other stars like Steve Smith, Shoaib Malik, Thisara Perera, Shahid Afridi, Imrul Kayes, Mohammad Saifuddin and Abu Hider Rony.
