India win series beating BD in 2nd match

Visiting Indian Hockey team won the three-match friendly series 2-0 with a match to spare beating Bangladesh by 5-1 goal in the 2nd game at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Pratishthan (BKSP) ground in Savar Friday, reports UNB.
Earlier, on Wednesday's match, the home side conceded a 1-2 goals defeat to the Punjabi Singh-dominated Indian second string team.
In the second match, Hasan Jubair Niloy put Bangladesh ahead by scoring a field goal in the 7th minute while Harjeet Singh levelled the margin just three minute later also by a field goal and Yuvraj Walmiki doubled the margin in the 12th minute by another field goal.
SK Uthappa, Devender Sunil Walmiki and Yousuf Affan scored one field goal each for India in the 20th, 24th and 32nd minute respectively.
The remaining match of the bilateral friendly series will be held today (Saturday) at the same venue.
Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) invited the Indian hockey team to tour Bangladesh as part of their preparation for the next month's World Hockey League in Dhaka and as well as for the Asian Games Hockey in the South Korean city of Incheon from September 19 to October 4.
