Indonesia to utilize Bangabandhu Cup experience: Tommy

Indonesia is playing the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi for the third time in 2024, reports BSS.

Despite never making it to the semifinals, the team was progressively improving in the game and saw the knowledge gained from the prestigious Kabaddi competition as vital for the sport's advancement.

Tommy Gunarto Lowito, the Assistant Manager and International Relations Officer of Indonesia Kabaddi Federation shared his thoughts on the fourth edition of Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi Tournament. He was excited about the impressive arrangement and huge spectators. He also talked about Indonesian Kabaddi and their plans.

"It is Amazing! Just Amazing!" That's what the Indonesian Kabaddi official said about the ongoing Bangabandhu Cup 2024 International Kabaddi Tournament.

While responding to the question regarding what were the things he liked most about the tournament, he said, "It was inspiring to see the galleries full of spectators here. I have seen them supporting their favourite teams from every corner with such enthusiasm and I have not seen that anywhere else in the world. This is not my first time in Bangladesh and hopefully, I'll come again in the future for this incredible audience. I love touring Bangladesh!"

Unfortunately, Indonesia narrowly missed the chance to play in the semifinals, finishing third in Group-A. However, the Indonesia Assistant Manager was hopeful of doing better in the next edition. He said they would work hard for the next time.

About Indonesian Kabaddi he said all the activities of Kabaddi in the country are conducted through the Indonesian Kabaddi Federation. We are gradually getting better at Kabaddi. Numerous strategies have been developed and are being progressively put into action to promote Kabaddi at home.

Tommy said he is happy to be here in Dhaka and participate in the tournament and hoped to be here again next time.
