Inter-school Chess competition held

The two-day DPS STS Inter-school Chess competition concluded at the auditorium of DPS STS School at Uttara in the city Sunday, reports BSS.

A total 130 boys and girls from 13 schools in 5 groups participated in the event.

Autish Chakma of SFX Greenherald International School emerged unbeaten champion in Grade 7 to 10 Boys Group with maximum 5 points, Nova Tasha of DPS STS School became unbeaten champion in grade 4 to 6 Boys Group with maximum 6 points, Rameen Ahmed of DPS STS School became unbeaten champion in grade 1 to 3 Boys Group with maximum 5 points, Farea Tayeba Amin became unbeaten champion with 4.5 points in Girls Grade 5 to 10 group and Jannatul Ferdous of Motijheel Ideal Govt Primary School became unbeaten champion with maximum 5 points in Grade 1 4 Girls Group.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at DPS STS School. Madhu Wal, Vice-President of DPS STS School Dhaka and Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Razib distributed prizes among the winners.
