ITHC Kuwait to sponsor Bangabandhu Gold Cup

The International Trade Holding Company (ITHC) of Kuwait entered Bangladesh football arena with the announcement of sponsoring the eight nations Bangabandhu Gold Cup football tournament scheduled to be held in September next, reports BSS.
This was disclosed at a press conference at city hotel Sunday, BFF president Kazi M Salahuddin welcomed Dr Hamad Al-Tuwaijri, chairman of ITHC and revealed the Kuwaiti conglomerates involvement with Bangladesh football, source BFF online.
"Dr Hamad is a great friend of Bangladesh and he is keen to help the development process of the Bangladesh football. I welcome him to the Bangladesh football arena. ITHC has agreed to sponsor the Bangabandhu Cup and I hope the involvement will be strengthened further," said Salahuddin.
"With the arrival of ITHC, a new door of Bangladesh football had been opened," added the BFF president.
Dr Hamad was upbeat with the development. "Bangladesh and Kuwait have a friendly relationship for near 40 years and I feel honoured to get involved with Bangladesh and particularly with football. We hope to build a sustainable relationship, we also have interest to assist the youth development," said Hamad.
The details of sponsorship will be revealed later. BFF vice presidents Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Tabith Awal, women's wing deputy chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron and general secretary Abu Naeem Shohag were also present on the occasion.
The ITHC was founded in 2001 by its Chairman and President Dr Hamad Al- Tuwaijri and continues to expand and grow in Kuwait and overseas.
