Sri Lanka star Sanath Jayasuriya has joined Lancashire on a month-long deal, reports BBC.
Jayasuriya (37) will join the county on 19 June as Muttiah Muralitharan will be involved in Sri Lanka's three-match Test series against Bangladesh.
Jayasuriya, who is being rested from Sri Lanka's Test side, will play in Lancashire's Twenty20 Cup games before joining his nation's one-day squad.
"Sanath and Twenty20 cricket is an exciting prospect," said Lancashire cricket manager Mike Watkinson.
"He has a tremendous record in one-day cricket and we are delighted he will be joining us."
Jayasuriya, who played for Somerset in 2005, helped Sri Lanka reach the final of the World Cup, where they lost to Australia.
