JMS, JKS reach semis

Jessore Municipal School (JMS) and Joypurhat Khanjanpur High School (JKS) reached the semifinals of the First Security Islami Bank National School Hockey Tournament eliminating their rivals in the quarterfinals at Moulana Bhashani National Stadium in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
Jessore Municipal School booked a seat for the semifinal beating Chittagong Municipal Model School by 4-3 goals in the penalty shootout as the regulation time of the first quarterfinal match between the two teams ended goalless
In the 2nd quarterfinal, Joypurhat Khanjanpur High School advanced to the last four stage eliminating Nawab Habibullah School of Dhaka by 3-0 goals.
Ayub Hossain Rakib struck twice while Mehedi scored the other goal for the winners.
In the remaining quarterfinals today (Friday), Zinjira PM Pilot High School will meet Rangpur Keramatia High School while Armanitola High School will face Rajshahi Al Hikmah School.
