John Wilson, Viqarunnisa Noon, Agargaon High emerge group champions

Three teams--holders John Wilson, Viqarunnisa Noon, and Agargaon High emerged group champions to reach the semifinals of the Citycell Dhaka Metropolis Women's Football championship Tuesday, reports UNB.
Earlier on Monday, BIT emerged Group D champions to book a seat for the semifinals outplaying Islambagh Ashraf Ali High School 7-0 at the Azimpur Girls' School ground.
In the semifinals on Wednesday, Sir John Wilson School will play Viqarunnisa Noon School & College at 3:45 pm while Agargaon High School will meet BIT at 5 pm, both at the Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women's Sports Complex.
In the day's last group match, defending champions Sir John Wilson School clinched the Group A leadership eliminating their contenders Rajdhani High School by a solitary goal at the Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women's Sports Complex.
Samiha scored the match-winning goal in the 7th minute.
In the day's other match at the same venue, Agargaon Adarsha High School lifted the Group B title upsetting Scholastica School, also by a lone goal, scored by Sharmin Akhter in the 4th minute.
The day's other match between Dhanmondi Govt. Girls' High School and Mohammadpur Preparatory Girls' High School ended in a goalless draw at the same venue.
At the Azimpur Girls' School ground, Viqarunnisa Noon School clinched the Group C leadership eliminating their close rivals Dolairpar High School 1-0, with the lone goal scored by Marium in the 14th minute.
The day's other match between hosts Azimpur Girls' School and their neighbours Agrani School and College ended in a goalless draw at the same venue.
