Jordan football team in city

Jordan National Football Team arrived in the capital Saturday afternoon to play their away match of the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers against Bangladesh National Football Team at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city September 8, reports UNB.
The Jordan team reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 5:40 pm by an Emirates Airlines flight.
The Bangladesh National Football team also returned home Saturday from Australian city of Perth after playing their away match of the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Bangladesh conceded 0-5 goal defeat to Asian champions and four-time World Cupper Australia in the match at the NIB Stadium in the Australian city of Perth last Thursday.
With this feat, the Socceroos (Australian), 61st in FIFA rankings, topped the group list securing full six points from straight three matches with all win record while Jordan followed them with four points from two matches with one win and one draw.
Bangladesh remained at bottom in the five-team group with one point from three matches.
In the ongoing FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Bangladesh conceded 1-3 goals defeat to Kyrgyzstan on June 11 and played to a 1-1 draw against Tajikistan on June 16 in their home matches of Group B.
Bangladesh will play their home match against Australia on November 17 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
