Junior Badminton Championship begins today

The 37th National Junior Badminton Championship begins today (Sunday) at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city, said a press release.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, will inaugurate the meet as the chief guest, organized by Bangladesh Badminton Federation (BBF), reports BSS

Youth and Sports Secretary Mesbah Uddin will be present as the special guest in the opening ceremony.

BBF's president and Information Commissioner Dr Abdul Malek will preside over the opening ceremony.

A total of 377 shuttlers -- 313 of men's and 64 of women's -- from 71 teams will take part in the championship.
