Kapil Dev sacked as chairman of cricket academy

The Indian board has sacked Kapil Dev as chairman of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) with immediate effect. Ajay Shirke, the vice-chairman of the NCA, will take over as the acting chairman and a new appointment for the post will be made at the annual general meeting on September 28, according to website cricinfo.
The board has also closed the door on the 48 Indian players who have joined the ICL and said those who are associated with any other organisation would not be entitled to any benefits from the BCCI.
The board announced that the match fee for Ranji Trophy will be raised to Rs 35,000 per day (855.536 $) and the prize money for all domestic tournaments has been increased to Rs 4.2 crores (1,024,140.42 $) . The board plans to build a zonal cricket academy in Kolkata and also set up a state of the art museum at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium at a cost of Rs 10 crore (2,444,390 $).
