Khanjarpur High School, Joypurhat and Armanitola Government High School will play the First Security Islami Bank Ltd National School Hockey Tournament final today (Monday) as they beat their respective rivals in the semifinals at the Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
In the day's fiercely semifinal, Khanjanpur secured 4-3 victory over JM Sen High School, Chittagong.
Nahid Hasan and Shahnoor Sikder scored two goals each for Khanjanpur while Mrittunjoy Das, Abbas Ali and Jibon Das netted one goal apiece for JM Sen.
Nahid Hasan fired the net first for Khanjanpur in the 17th minute of the match while Mrittunjoy Das levelled the margin for JM Sen in the 24th minute.
Abbas Ali doubled the lead for JM Sen in the 26th minute and Nahid Hasan scored his second one to level the score line in the 28th minute.
Shahnoor Sikder scored twice in the 36th and 54th minutes to seal the win for Khanjanpur while Jibon Das netted the third goal for JM Sen in the 36th minute.
Midfielder Yamin of Khanjanpur was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile, in the other semifinal, Armanitola beat Dinajpur District School by a solitary goal.
Skipper Md Shihab Hossain scored the all important goal in the penultimate minute of the stipulated time. Goalkeeper Arman of Armanitola was adjudged player of the match.
