Lamichhane first Nepali cricketer to play in IPL

KATHMANDU, Jan 29 (Hindustan Times): Nepali leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been selected to play from Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League. In the IPL auction 2018 underway in Bangalore, the 17-year-old was bought by DD at his base price of Rs 2 million (20 lakh).
Lamichhane thus became the first Nepali player to enter the IPL. He will have Gautam Ghambhir along with Glenn Maxwell and Trent Boult as his teammates.
