Lankan squad due today

A 15-member Sri Lanka national cricket team led by Mahela Jayawardene arrives in Dhaka today (Thursday) to take part in the two Tests against Bangladesh and a tri-nation cup tournament involving Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and hosts Bangladesh, reports UNB.
During the month-long tour, Sri Lanka will play the first Test match against Bangladesh on December 26-31 at Mirpur She-e-Bangla National Stadium (SBNS), the second on January 3-7 at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Ruhul Amin Stadium in Chittagong. The tourists will also play a three-day practice match at BKSP on December 21-23.
After the Test series, The GrameenPhone tri nation cup will begin on January 10 with a match between Zimbabwe and hosts Bangladesh. The second match will be held on January 12 between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe while the third match on January 14 between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, all at the SBNS.
The final match of the tournament will be held on January 16 at the same venue.
Zimbabwe team will arrive on January 4 and will set for Bogra on the same day to play a three-day warm-up match there against GP-BCB national cricket team.
After the tri-national cup tournament, Bangladesh will play three ODI match against Zimbabwe on January 19, 21 and 23, all at the SBNS.
Sri Lanka cricket team will make their first training session Friday at the SBNS from 9 am to 12pm.

Officials: Jayantha Paranathala (manager), Trevor Bayliss (Coach),Paul Farbrace (assistant coach), Ranjith Nanayakkarawasam (Physiotherapist), Jade Roberts (trainer), Nalin De Alwis (computer analyst) Lal Thamel (masseur), and Guy De Alwis (IC member on tour).
